Description:

The SAAB-340B is a short-range twin-turboprop aircraft that Northwest Airlink put into service after the acquisition of Republic Airlines in October of 1986. It is powered by two 1,870-shp (1394-kW) General-Electric CT7-9B turboprop engines. The 340B's operated out of Minneapolis, Detroit, and Memphis were operated until the merger in 2009 with Delta Airlines who continues to fly some of them under Delta Connection.
